Bringing AMAZING short films to New Orleans audiences... Providing a fantasitc venue for filmmakers (from New Orleans and around the world) to exhabit their work... and last but certainly not least, helping to raise money and awareness about the many problems still plaguing New Orleans and the surrounding areas... The 2nd Annual Big Easy Shorts Festival has something for everyone!
72 HOUR FILM COMPETITION: the week before the festival, we will be conducting a 72 hour film competition. Competing filmmakers will receive a randomly choosen Genre, Action, Prop, and Phrase of dialogue. They will then have 3 days (72 hours) to complete their film. Films will be judged by a select panel, with the top 5 films screening at the Big Easy Shorts Festival. We'll have more details regarding the competition, including early registration, soon.
